Samyuktha’s Flying High

R. Samyuktha a talented violinist from Chennai who performed with SASO in both concerts last year. She is of the 6th generation of renowned Carnatic violinists in her family, which includes the legendary Thirukodikaval Krishna Iyer and Semmangudi Narayanaswamy Iyer.

A multi-faceted musician, equally comfortable in the Carnatic and Western idioms of music, she was awarded the title of “Young Musician of the Year – 2019” by the Olga and Jules Craen Foundation. Having completed the 12th grade from Besant Arundale Senior Secondary School, she is now ready to take the next step in her musical education. She will be heading to the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, on a four-year scholarship. Congratulations and all the best, Samyuktha!
