Debjit Mahalanobis, who has performed in both SASO concerts last year, organised a virtual concert with the Sangeet Kala Mandir on 26th July 2020. It was an interesting collaborative concert, pushing the boundaries of conventional musical expectations – experimental and quirky, yet developing its own unique aesthetic. The collaborations with sitarist Snehesh Nag offered a look into how the double bass can play a role in Hindustani music. The other piece was with soundscape artist Bidisha (B.I.D.S), who likes to create her own instruments and dabble in experimental analogue sounds.
